Ireland will Light Up Teal on October 7th 2017!

Our "Light Up Teal " Campaign is well under way. To date, we have 26 fabulous buildings that will Light Up Teal for International Trigeminal Neuralgia Day on October 7th 2017

This year is the 5th year of the worldwide "Light Up Teal" campaign. Our mission is to bring much needed awareness to the monstrous condition; Trigeminal Neuralgia. Last year, over 100 buildings, monuments and bridges shone their lights proudly, and over 30 were here in Ireland.

Trigeminal Neuralgia Ireland's main goal is to spread the word and to make sure every single sufferer aware of our support group. Nobody should suffer in silence. We also need to make sure that the medical community is fully aware of this condition, and that Trigeminal Neuralgia is a recognised chronic pain condition. As any suffer knows, Trigeminal Neuralgia is one of the most painful conditions known to humankind. We are also determined to prompt the World Health Organisation to add Trigeminal Neuralgia to their "Health Topic's List" which will further raise awareness and provide resources and funding to find a cure.
The full International List can be found on the TNNME website here;

  • The 3Arena, Dublin
  • The Convention Centre, Dublin.
  • The Mansion House, Dublin,
  • The National Concert Hall, Dublin.
  • The Millmount Museum, Drogheda, Co. Louth.

Blue Ice Bucket Challenge for Trigeminal Neuralgia

The above video shows the bravery of a Trigeminal Neuralgia warrior. She demonstrates how it feels every day for people with TN, and she does this using power tools.

She took the ice bucket challenge, and I will admit it is not easy to watch when I know the pain that she feels.

I hope that this video will help explain how Trigeminal Neuralgia feels, and how it can affect lives. Please share this clip.

Light Up Teal For Trigeminal Neuralgia

We at the Trigeminal Neuralgia Ireland Support Group are doing everything in our power to raise awareness about the monstrous condition - Trigeminal Neuralgia.

One way of raising awareness is petitioning landmarks and buildings around the country to Light Up Teal on October 7th.

There are a few buildings on board, but we NEED more!!

We have covered mostly Dublin and the surrounding areas, so if you have any leads for the rest of the country that would be awesome. We need this to happen!

Trigeminal Neuralgia is a rare condition, which is another way of saying people haven't a clue about it. We need this to change. The only way is to shine a bright teal light at buildings and you never know, we may get into the news!!

Please contact us if you would like a draft email, or a list of places already contacted. You can leave a comment below or:
